Elena Zocchi was born in 1984 in Pontedera, near Pisa. She attended the “A.Pesenti” scientific high school, graduating in 2003. She enrolled at the University of Florence in the degree course in history and protection of archaeological heritage.
Since 2011 she has worked as a worker in a leather processing company in Santa Croce sull’Arno (Pisa).
Since 2008 she has studied violin as a privatist.
She approached violinmaking as an autodidact. Then, in 2017 she enrolled in the violin making course of the “Fernando Ferroni” school and, under the guidance of Maestro Fabio Chiari, she graduated in January 2018. She has made her first instruments referring to models of violin makers from Tuscany and Cremona.
She lives and works in Castelfranco di Sotto (Pisa).
