Francesco Algieri born in 1975 in Florence where he still lives and works. In 1987 starts taking courses in classic guitar, in 1990 starts learning electric guitar specializing in Blues and Rock’n Roll. In 1993 begins to be interested in guitar construction. In 1994 studies at the Gubbio School of Lute-makers with Maestro Guerriero Spataffi where he learns and specializes in the construction of bow instruments obtaining his diploma in 1998. Thereafter he starts collaborating with Master Lutists in the Florence area. With Master Lutist Fabio Chiari in 2014, opens the” Scuola di Liuteria Toscana” of which he is founding member and teacher. In 2014, represents the “Scuola di Liuteria Toscana” at the Cremona Mondomusica and in 2015 at the Music China in Shanghai. In 2006 takes part in the publication of the book “Gli alberi della liuteria italiana classica” (the trees of Italian classic lute-makers) with the group “Tuscan Lutists of Today” of which he is a member together with the masters Fabio Chiari and Roberto Montagna. His instrument is published in the book “Liuteria Toscana, prima esposizione nazionale dei maestri ed allievi”. Also, his instruments were exposed at Mondomusica 2006, 2010 and from 2014 to 2018, Punta Ala (Italy) in 2017 and 2018, Frankfurt in 2018 on a private exhibition, Piombino in 2018, Trichiana (Italy) in 2017 and 2018, Music China in 2015 and 2018, in London at the Bishop’s exhibition in 2018 and at BWMA in 2019. Actually he makes his instruments for Liuteria Toscana.
